Kiwanis Honors Longden Students Kenneth Teo, Elizabeth Villagomez, and Kelvin Li October 24, 2006
Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Longden Elementary School at their meeting on October 24, 2006. Pictured with the proud students is Longden teacher Mrs. Clairice Acosta. Kenneth is 11 years old and has an older sister and enjoys reading and playing computer games. Kenneth said, “The best things about school are making more friends, and I am able to learn more.” The best thing that ever happened to Kenneth was being chosen to be a Student of the Month. Kenneth would like to change his grades to all A+, help people in need, build a rocketship to explore the galaxy, be kinder, and be more open to people. Elizabeth is 11 years old and has a younger sister and enjoys acting, singing, and tennis. Elizabeth said, “The best things about school are my teacher, Mrs. Acosta, learning, and making new friends.” The best thing that ever happened was being runner-up in a tennis tournament. Elizabeth has goals of helping sick people in the hospital with serious diseases, a foundation for the poor and sick all around the world, to do well in school, and become an actress or professional tennis player. Kelvin is 11 years old and enjoys art and football. Kelvin said, “The best things about school are the big school grounds, lunch, and the classroom.” The best thing that ever happened to Kelvin is that he going to have a baby brother. Kelvin has goals of getting people to stop cutting down trees, building a giant pyramid shaped hotel, getting good grades, and going to a good college. |
