Kiwanis Honors Emperor Students Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting on October 10, 2006. Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Mr. Greg Giangregorio. Gary is 11 years old and is in Ms. Carlson’s class. Gary has one younger sister and enjoys collecting legos and playing video games. Gary said, “The best things about school are the playground, computer lab, and having the best teachers I have met so far.” Gary has goals of building a mansion for his family, getting better grades, getting into a good university, and becoming a surgeon. Sifana is 11 years old and is in Miss Parille’s class. Sifana has two younger brothers and enjoys reading books. Sifana said, “The best things about school are my teachers, the teaching technique, and everyone is friendly.” The best thing that ever happened to Sifana was coming to the United States. If Sifana could build one thing, it would be a laboratory where scientists could study the earth and space. Personal goals are to have more courage, to be a writer, and help the poor people of the world. Alex is 11 years old and is in Mr. Giangregorio’s class. Alex has four brothers and sisters and enjoys dancing, sports, singing, and collecting stuffed monkeys. Alex said, “The best things about school are the cool teachers (Mr. G), the fun projects, and the great P.E. teachers.” The best thing that ever happened to Alex was winning first place in a hip-hop competition. If Alex could build one thing, it would be a large stage to dance crazy with her friends. Personal goals are to become better in reading, do well in school, go to USC, and become a choreographer. |
