Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored two outstanding students from Cloverly Elementary School at their meeting on October 3, 2006.  Pictured with the proud students is Cloverly teacher, Mr. Ron Lee.

Harvey is 11 years old and is in Mrs. Naylor and Mrs. Del Viscio’s class. Harvey enjoys playing basketball, tennis, video games, and exercising. Harvey said, “the best things about school are the good friends to talk to, friendly teachers who teach in a positive way, and a fun playground to play on at recess.”  The best thing that ever happened to Harvey was going on the Heritage Trip for one week, learning many new things and making friends from different schools.  Harvey has goals of building a solar-powered flashlight, getting good grades, trying to improve his behavior, making more friends, to encourage each other, and to do his best.

Kimberly is 11 years old and is in Mr. Lee’s class.  Kimberly has two younger sisters and enjoys badminton and reading.  Kimberly said, “the best things about school are the friendly people, excellent teachers, and learning.”  The best thing that ever happened was getting second place in a writing competition.  Personal goals Kimberly is striving for are to build a monument of a book to represent reading, become successful, to become a psychologist, and be the best that she can be.
