Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored two outstanding students from the Community Learning Center at their meeting on September 19, 2006.  Pictured with the proud students are CLC teachers Reggie Rios and Andrew Jahan.

Erin is 17 years old and has two older sisters. Erin’s hobbies and interests are tattoos and piercing’s. Erin said, “the best things about school are it is easy to make friends, you get as much work done as you want, and it is laid back.” The best thing that ever happened to Erin was working with a Band Tour. Erin has goals of graduating early, build a huge donut for a donut shop, attend Citrus College for Cosmetology, and become a special effects make-up artist.

Robert is 17 years old, has a younger sister, and enjoys camping, motorcycle riding and playing Xbox. Robert said, “the best things about school are it is easy, all my friends are here, and the teacher’s are cool.” The best things that have happened to Robert are his girlfriend and good friends. Personal goals Robert is striving for are to build a solar powered house, graduate, get a job, and a house.
