Kiwanis Honors Emperor Students Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting on September 12, 2006. Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Ms. Crista Carlson. Belen is 11 years old and is in Ms. Carlson’s class. Belen has 2 younger sisters and enjoys drawing, swimming, singing and dancing. Belen said, “the best things about school are the teachers, homework and recess.” The best thing that ever happened to Belen was when she went to Peru for the first time. Belen has goals of being good in math, to get straight A’s, and to be a teacher. Jolene is 11 years old and is in Mr. Giangregorio’s class. She has a sister and brother and enjoys horseback riding, reading, basketball, swimming, and playing computer games. Jolene said, “the best things about school are having two recesses, the computer lab is awesome, and the school is neat and clean.” The best thing that ever happened to Jolene was when she got her dog April. Personal goals Jolene is striving for are to never forget an assignment, to write better essays, and achieve in school and life. David is 11 years old and is in Miss Parille’s class. David enjoys fishing and pottery. David said, “the best things about school are the Principal, the other students, and history lessons.” If David could build one thing, it would be a bowl with a bump in the middle to crack eggs on. Personal goals are to become an inventor, to be a cook, and to be very polite. |
