Kiwanis Honors Cloverly Students May 1, 2007
Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored four outstanding students from Cloverly Elementary School at their meeting on May 1, 2007. Pictured with the proud students is Cloverly Principal, Mr. Doug Walters. Justin is 12 years old and is in Mrs. Stoke’s class. Justin has one younger brother and enjoys playing cards and video games. Justin said, “The best things about school are the P.E. activities, the food is great, and the nice teachers. The best thing that ever happened was learning to swim.” Justin has goals of increasing his running time, do 100 push-ups, and learn to speak Japanese. Yuan is 12 years old and is in Mrs. Naylor and Bayer’s class. Yuan has twin sisters and enjoys reading fantasy books, and playing video games. Yuan said, “The best things about school are the playground, library, and learning new things. The best thing that ever happened to me was becoming Student of the Month.” Personal goals are to attend a good college, become a video maker, and build a machine to cure any disease. Helen is 11 years old and is in Ms. Tenney’s class. Helen has three sisters and enjoys drawing. Helen said, “The best things about school are the books in the library, great education, and fun teachers. The best thing that ever happened to me was getting good grades.” Personal goals are to be better in math, history, and language arts. Jennifer is 11 years old and is in Ms. Wenzel’s class. Jennifer has an older brother and sister and enjoys drawing and reading. Jennifer said, “The best things about school are my friends, the teachers, and IRC.” Personal goals are to clean her messy room, build a hospital, get good grades, and become better at playing the violin. |
