 Longden

Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored six outstanding students from Longden Elementary School at their meeting on April 24, 2007.  Pictured with the proud students on the left are Longden teachers Mr. Bruce Bremer and Miss Heather Carlson.

Crystal is 12 years old, has two older brothers and enjoys drawing.  Crystal said, “The best things about school are lunch, Math, and Science.”  Crystal has goals of improving her Math, reading, and Spanish.

Henry is 11 years old and enjoys reading.  Henry said, “The best things about school are the field trips, the teachers are kind, and I like Social Studies.”  Personal goals are to get good grades, get better in Social Studies, and do well at Oak Avenue School.

Kathy is 11 years old, has two brothers and enjoys collecting bottle caps.  Kathy said, “The best things about school are the teachers, P.E., and lunch.”  Goals are to get straight A’s, make new friends, and be good at soccer.

Thien is 12 years old, has nine brothers and sisters and enjoys reading.  Thien said, “The best things about school are the kind teachers, Math, and Social Studies.”  Goals are to respect her parents, be a genius, graduate high school, and to get A’s in every subject.

Jennifer is 12 years old, has an older brother and enjoys playing the clarinet and collecting neo pets.  Jennifer said, “The best things about school are recess, Art, and the library.”  Goals are to bring her lizards back to life, build a giant aquarium, improve her handwriting, get better at Math, and improve her social interaction.

Zeke is 12 years old, has two brothers and sisters and enjoys playing video games on his Xbox 360.  Zeke said, “The best things about school are recess, free time, and lunch.”  Goals are to build a custom car, improve his communication, reading skills, and skateboarding.
