 Emperor

Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting on April 17, 2007.  Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Ms. Krista Carlson.

Kevin is 11 years old and is in Miss Parrille’s class.  Kevin enjoys fishing, chess, basketball, and football.  Kevin said, “The best things about school are learning new concepts, my friends and teachers, and I enjoy learning.”  Kevin has goals of studying hard to get into a good college, to help his family, and to succeed in life.

Ruth is 12 years old and is in Ms. Carlson’s class.  Ruth enjoys talking with her friends, drawing, playing the violin, and reading fiction books.  Ruth said, “The best things about school are the positive and friendly teachers, the behavior of the students, and the fieldtrips are awesome.”  Personal goals are to go to Stanford on a full scholarship, help poor people around the world, and be a doctor.

Samantha is 11 years old and is in Mr. Giangregorio’s class.  Samantha has an older sister and enjoys playing the violin, math, tennis, reading, and painting.  Samantha said, “The best things about school are the teachers, seeing my friends, and learning new things.”  The best thing that ever happened was being invited to be listed in the book Who’s Who Of Outstanding Students in America, and invited to the People to People Ambassador’s Program. Goals are to get straight A’s, do her best in school, and to a good college.
