Kiwanis Honors Emperor Students Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting on March 13, 2007. Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Miss Mary Ann Parrille. Angela is 11 years old and is in Miss Parrille’s class. Angela enjoys coin collecting, playing the violin, and tetherball. Angela said, “The best things about school are the great teachers and persistent help, students showing moral values, and the great environment to learn.” The best thing that ever happened was coming to America and being accepted at Emperor. Angela has goals of becoming a better person, volunteering more, and making new friends. Sylvia is 11 years old and is in Mr. Giangregorio’s class. Sylvia has an older sister and enjoys swimming, drawing, tetherball, doodling, making scrambled eggs and 3 cheese pizza. Sylvia said, “The best things about school are learning from my teachers, Mr. G, Miss Parrille, and Ms. Carlson.” Personal goals are to get an awesome white Ford Mustang, learn to snap her fingers loudly, learn to whistle, and make a bridge from toothpicks. Lizette is 11 years old and is in Ms. Carlson’s class. Lizette has two sisters and enjoys singing, dancing, reading, animals, and doing speeches. Lizette said, “The best things about school are history, science, and math homework.” The best thing that ever happened was singing in a musical. Goals are to be great singer, and to teach her dog tricks. |
