Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored two outstanding students from Cloverly Elementary School at their meeting on March 7, 2006.  Pictured with the proud students is teacher, Mrs. Pat Wenzel.

Hugo is 12 years old, has one younger sister. Hugo enjoys history, coin and stamp collecting, and swimming. Hugo said, “the best things about school are the excellent and helpful teachers, all the good books at the school library, and all the good projects in the lab for me to do.” Hugo has goals of building a giant pyramid filled with historical artifacts. Personal goals are to do his best, get a scholarship, and be a successful person.

Sami is 12 years old, has one younger brother, and enjoys softball, art, and science. Sami said, “the best things about school are my friends, the opportunities to do new things, and to use the knowledge from school outside the school.” The best thing that ever happened to Sami was making it to the State softball tournament and coming in 5th place against all odds. Personal goals Sami is striving for are to become a pediatrician, get a softball scholarship, and to be 5’ 7” tall.
