Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored Brandon Olson and Thomas Rivers from Longden Elementary School at their meeting on February 27, 2007.  Pictured with the proud students is their teacher, Mr. Greg Sahoian.

Brandon is 12 years old and enjoys baseball, reading, basketball, hanging out with is friends and parents. Brandon said, “the best things about school are recess, the teachers, and my friends.” Brandon also said, “the best thing that ever happened to me was being born into this world and having such great parents.” Personal goals are to be a professional baseball player, go to a good college, and to be a better person.

Thomas is 11 years old, has an older brother and enjoys basketball, music, and reading. The best things about school are his friends, the teachers, and playground. Thomas said, “the best thing that ever happened to me was learning to read.” Thomas has goals of building a store that sell music and books for kids, get good grades, be a good person and do the right thing.
