 Emperor

Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting, February 14, 2006.  Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Mary Ann Parrelle.

Andrew is 11 years old, has two sisters and is in Mr. Giangregorio's 6th grade class. Andrew enjoys drawing, video games, and computers. Andrew said, “the best things about school are my friends, the atmosphere, and the academic program.” The best thing that ever happened to Andrew was going on a vacation to Cancun, Mexico with his family. Andrew would like to build a national monument. Personal goals are to get A’s in all his school subjects, meet new people, and become an engineer.

Kylie is 11 years old, has one older sister and is in Ms. Carlson's 6th grade class.  Kylie enjoys swimming, biking, tennis, and all sports. Kylie said, “the best things about school are all the nice teachers, cooperating and being kind to one another, and the school is always clean.” The best thing that ever happened to Kylie was when she got into her first musical for Temple City High School. If Kylie could change one thing, she would work harder and get straight A’s. Kylie said, "personal goals I am striving for are to do better in school, to get into an Ivy League college, and do better in tennis."

Brett is 12 years old, has one younger brother, and is in Ms. Parrelle's 6th grade class.  Brett enjoys swimming, card collecting, reading, building Lego sets, movies, Disneyland, and his dog, Dash. Brett said, “the best things about school are Ms. Perini, all the great teachers and staff, and learning there is fun!” The best thing that ever happened to Brett was when he got to sit in one of the few remaining P-38 planes and ring the bell of the Jupiter Steam Locomotive. If Brett could change one thing in this world, it would be that his mother would not have died of cancer. Personal goals Brett is striving for are to build a museum of pre-historic artifacts, train and show his dog, go to college, and become a paleontologist.
