Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored four outstanding students from Cloverly Elementary School at their meeting, February 7, 2006.  Pictured with the proud students is Cloverly teacher, Mrs. Lynn Tenney.

George is 11 years old, has two older brothers and is in Mrs. Saunder's 6th grade class. George enjoys playing the violin and piano. George said, “the best things about school are my friends, the condition of the school, and the staff.” The best thing that ever happened George was going back to Taiwan last summer. George would like to change the food at Cloverly, build a theme park, get straight A's, have a good attitude, and have more friends.

Paulie is 11 years old, has one older brother and is in Mrs. Wenzel's 6th grade class.  Paulie enjoys playing with his dog in the backyard. Paulie said, “the best things about school are my friends that keep me company, lunch, and recess.” The best thing that ever happened to Paulie was when he vacationed in Michigan. If Paulie could change one thing, he would not have gotten sick and threw-up in the 5th grade. Paulie said, "personal goals I am striving for are to have happiness, to have a nice place to live, and to get lots of money."

Maggie is 11 years old, and is in Mr. Lee's 6th grade class.  Maggie enjoys playing the violin, reading, and knitting. Maggie said, “the best things about school are math, recess, and art.” The best thing that ever happened to Maggie was when she went to Disneyworld last spring and visited the four parks. If Maggie could build one thing, it would be a time machine to go back in time and change her mistakes. Maggie said, "personal goals I am striving for are to learn how to cook, stop watching to much TV, and get better at the violin."

Ashley is 11 years old, has a younger broth and sister, and is in Ms. Tenney's 6th grade class.  Ashley enjoys drawing, tetherball, the internet, and shopping. Ashley said, “the best things about school are playing tetherball, art, and dance.” The best things that ever happened to Ashley was when she got to go to the Hometown Buffet, being picked as a Super Star, and Student of the Month. Ashley said, "personal goals I am striving for are to get good grades every year, become a teacher, and stay out of trouble."
