Kiwanis Honors CLC Students Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored two outstanding students from the Community Learning Center at their meeting, January 17, 2006. Pictured with the proud students is CLC teacher, Mr. Ron Bridges. Sasha is 16 years old and is in Mrs. Roozee’s class. Sasha has 2 brothers and enjoys soccer and writing. Sasha said, “the best things about school are writing papers, listening to lessons, and reading new information.” The best thing that ever happened to Sasha was starting independent study. Personal goals are to get a degree in English, become a lawyer and own her own law firm. Ryan is 14 years old and is in Mr. Bridges class. Ryan has an older brother and enjoys sports, exercise, socializing, and education. Ryan said, “the three best thing that ever happened to me was receiving Student of the Month.” Personal goals are to get a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, get back to TCHS, and to get on a good sports team. |
