 Emperor

Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting, January 10, 2006.  Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Mr. Greg Giangregorio.

Melody is 11 years old and is in Mr. Giangregorio’s 6th grade class. Melody has one younger sister and enjoys drawing, reading, singing, and playing the piano. She said, “the best things about school are my friends, the environment, and Mr. ‘G’.”  Melody described Mr. G as “the great groovy teacher.” The best thing that ever happened to Melody was winning 1st Place for the Arbor Day Poster Contest in 5th grade. Personal goals she is striving for are to have good grades, and make nice friends.

Renee is 12 years old and is in Miss. Parrille’s 6th grade class. Renee has five brothers and sisters and enjoys reading, writing, and drawing. Renee said, “the best things about school are the great teachers, and recess.” The best thing that ever happened to Renee was when she got her guinea pigs. Personal goals are to build another pet store that is cheaper and kinder to animals, to be an actress, work at a coffee place, and to read all the classic books.

Esther is 11 years old and is in Ms. Carlson’s 6th grade class. Esther has two older brothers and enjoys hula dancing, playing piano, swimming, music, spending time with friends, family, and God. Esther said, “the best things about school are the teachers are always ready to teach and be helpful, we have a kind and friendly principal, and the school is always clean”. Personal goals are to have a closer relationship with God, to attend a university, and to have a good career, possibly as a medical doctor.
