Kiwanis Honors Emperor Students Kiwanis Club of Temple City was pleased to have honored three outstanding students from Emperor Elementary School at their meeting on January 9, 2007. Pictured with the proud students is Emperor teacher, Ms. Krista Carlson. Sarah is 11 years old and is in Ms. Carlson’s class. Sarah has one younger brother and enjoys art, music, collecting coins, shells, and rocks. Sarah said, “The best things about school are the great teachers like Mr. G, Miss Parrille, and Ms. Carlson, the students behavior, and the campus.” The best thing that ever happened was when she got her Shetland Sheepdog. Sarah has goals of building a hospital, getting an A in every class, to keep her friends to adulthood, and to never take drugs. Becca is 11 years old and is in Miss Parille’s class. Becca has an older brother and enjoys reading sewing, writing, and singing. Becca said, “The best things about school are the amazing teachers and staff, the fun and creative teaching techniques to learning, and the wonderful, safe, and fun environment to live and learn.” The best thing that ever happened to Becca was becoming part of the G.A.T.E. program and winning first place at Oddessy of the Mind. Personal goals are to be kind to all and be a good person, to write and publish a book by the time she is 18, and to become the first female President. Michelle is 11 years old and is in Mr. Giangregorio’s class. Michelle has a younger brother and enjoys soccer and exercising. Michelle said, “The best things about school are recess, P.E., and helping the teachers.” The best thing that ever happened to Michelle is having a great math teacher in Mr. Giangregorio. Personal goals are to become a teacher, go to a good college, and be on a soccer team. |
